REFUND AND RETURNS POLICY

At Pirate Terrible, every treasure is forged specifically for the pirate who claims it. Because our products are handcrafted, 3D-printed, and hand-painted to order, our policy is structured to reflect the artisan nature of our work while complying with international consumer protection standards.

1. THE ARTISAN EXEMPTION (NON-RETURNABLE GOODS)

In accordance with Article 103 of the Spanish Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007 (General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users) and the European Union Directive 2011/83/EU, the right of withdrawal (the right to return a product within 14 days) does not apply to:

  • Goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized.
  • Since every item at PIRATE TERRIBLE is printed and painted upon request, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds or exchanges for “change of mind” or “buyer’s remorse.”

2. DAMAGED OR DEFECTIVE ITEMS

The only exception to our final sale policy is if a treasure arrives damaged or possesses a significant manufacturing defect.

  • Reporting Window: You must report any damage within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Evidence Required: You must email info@pirateterrible.com with your order number and clear photographic evidence of:
    1. The external packaging (even if it appears undamaged).
    2. The shipping label.
    3. The damaged areas of the product.
  • Resolution: Once evaluated, we will, at our discretion, provide a replacement of the damaged parts, a full replacement of the item, or a partial/full refund if a replacement is not possible.

3. CANCELLATIONS

  • Before the Forge: You may cancel an order within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund.
  • During the Forge: Once the 3D printing or painting process has begun, the order is considered “in production” and cannot be cancelled or refunded.

4. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING & CUSTOMS (USA, CANADA, LATAM)

  • Customs Duties: As stated in our Terms of Service, the buyer is responsible for all local import taxes and duties.
  • Refusal of Delivery: If a package is returned to Spain because the buyer refused to pay local customs fees or provided an incorrect phone number/address, no refund will be issued.
  • Reshipping: We can reship the item once it returns to our workshop in Madrid, but the buyer will be responsible for the secondary shipping costs.

5. REFUND PROCESS (IF APPLICABLE)

If a refund is approved:

  • It will be processed back to your original method of payment (Stripe, PayPal, or Klarna).
  • Please allow 5 to 10 business days for the credit to appear on your statement, depending on your financial institution.

6. JURISDICTION

This policy is governed by the Laws of Spain. Any disputes regarding refunds or returns shall be resolved in the Courts of Madrid, Spain.
